“ Floyd's 1921 is the all around whole package. Service was on the spot! Never missed a beat. The decor was amazing and the topic of some conversation around the table. Oh But, the food.... that was absolutly the star. Have to try the shrimp napoleon, and Bbq burt ends. Omg I can't say enough. Have to try this place when in Morehead city. I will be frequenting. ”

“ I came here for dinner for the first time and found the service to be top notch, loved what they did with the former house and its gorgeous, open and inviting on the inside. I was able to shoot right in without a wait or reservation which was very surprising! I loved the bar as I spent some time there and had the Scallops linguini. The scallops were amazingly flavored and cooked. The pasta didn't have much flavor but I believe it was meant to be on the healthier side. Very much enjoyed this place and will return. ”

“ How have I never reviewed this restaurant considering the several times that I've been?....to get the same thing every time....the Shrimp Napoleon. This time around we got there as soon as they opened for dinner on a holiday weekend Friday and we were the first people in the door. The restaurant was so quiet with them just opening but we were taken care of wonderfully throughout the meal. Our waitress brought out warm, fresh yeast rolls and butter and I literally could've ate all the rolls and got my meal to go as they were so delicious! My husband some kind of gothic IPA beer which he enjoyed, along with the Fried Cheese Burger with fries. He raved about the quality of meat in the burger and said that it was the best burger he's ever tasted. I had the Shrimp Napolean which never disappoints and took the other half home. The waitress brought out a tray of desserts which looked so decadent we had to snag some kind of lemon blueberry cheesecake and a slice of bourbon pecan pie. My bourbon pecan pie was delectable with my coffee the following morning, while his cheesecake tasted more like a flan and totally missed the mark. ”

“ Good early dinner Saturday after running errands. We opted for appetizers versus a full entree. ”

“ Made reservations for an impromptu date night last weekend. But outdoor seating area with live music, and there were few lilies with young children outside. We were taken upstairs past a posh first floor bar and dining area. Our table was by a window, but we couldn't see much besides the parking lot. Based on the menu pricing and general ambiance, I would bring my teen children here knowing they would enjoy the food and try new things. But also based on this, I would NOT bring young children. Our server was awesome, the drinks were great and with her recommendations we chose some amazing entrees. I saved room for dessert because I heard about the bourbon pecan pie (I'm a ho for some GOOD pecan pie) and I was not disappointed. However, the surprise of the evening came with my husband's key lime tarts. Yes, plural. There were TWO on his plate. And it wasn't just the tarts, which he said were fantastic, it was the fresh meringue on top toasted to perfection. I have NEVER had meringue this good. I died after the first bite, then was resurrected and he let me have another bite of meringue only...we made sure to tell our waitress to hug the person responsible for this confection. And if I had known to order just a giant bowl of toasted meringue with a spoon, I surely would have - pecan pie be damned. Loved this pretty spot and had a great evening with the husband. I would definitely come back again, and maybe enjoy the outdoor seating and music. ”

“ Well, I know y'all aren't going to believe this but somehow over the years, we missed a restaurant in Morehead City. Yep, it's true. So a week or so ago, our little family band of foodies made our way to Floyd's 1921 Restaurant on Bridges Street. Floyd's has the appetizers, the Tapas or small plates, and the full entrees. We all were impressed with our dinners. Linda and I had a Tapas, Shrimp Napoleon, plus a crab dip app. We met the Chef and Owner, Floyd, a very cool guy indeed! I will go back! It's a 6 on a 1 to 5 scale. We were looking a good time and great meal, and we surely got it! Great to be home! And Floyd's 1921 did delight! ”

“ Food- 5/5 I had the fish of the day which was fresh and decent portion. My wife tried the Thai Shrimp Burger which was a nice twist on their classic shrimp burger with a little wasabi. Not too spicy. The fires were basic but crispy out of the fryer. If we visit again, I would get the Shrimp Burger or Thai Shrimp Burger, both of which are the great value. They have a lot of other great options on the menu but it can get expensive very quickly. Service- 6/5 Wow! Truly amazing staff. They were polite and seated us quickly. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating of our toddler. You can tell that the staff are well trained on the menu. Atmosphere- 4/5 The interior and exterior are cute. It's not on the water, which other restaurants in the area are. However, it's just a short walk to the downtown with boats and plenty to see. Value- 4/5 I thought the portions were large and prices fair for the quality of seafood. Overall- 4/5 I would totally visit again if I was in the area. It is a little touristy, so I doubt locals come here, but it's a great option if you are in the area. The staff know the art of upselling and will bring out a dessert platter to get you hooked. If you say you are full, they will suggest you get something to go for later. I was impressed with their salesmanship. It was polite but confident. Their manager is doing something right. ”
